"Update on my staircase website"

Hi,

I just added three new staircases on my website staircase-photography.at. There is a total of 72 image pairs so far, check it out if you're a staircase addicted like me! ;)

"New website featuring staircases"

Hi,

I just realized a long planned project and launched my new website staircase-photography.at. It's a site for people who are addicted to staircases or just enjoy photos of strong architectural masterpieces inside buildings.

The main theme is the comparison of both angles of view from top to bottom and vice versa. Side by side you can discover the different character of one and the same staircase.

Cheers

"Journal deleted by DA?"

Hi,

did anyone of you notice the removal of a personal journal entry during the last weeks? My entry "The problem with groups" which discusses the unsocial results of the introduction of groups is gone from my account. I can't even see it in my journal editor. Could it be possible that DA removed it due to critical statements? What do you think?

Cheers
Christian

"The problem with groups ..."

Hi,

groups have been a great thing in the beginning, but during the last year I became lazy and stopped putting my uploads into different groups. Well, that highlighted the main problem: more than 2.100 people are watching me and one could expect there should be a lot of activity concerning views, comments and faves. It is - as long as I use groups. If I ignore groups I get a ridiculous less amount of views.

I'm not blaming anyone of you, my behaviour is the same. The problem with groups is the incredible number of pictures. My message center is literally flooded with new works which I simply can't keep track of and I bet most of you are feeling that, too.

So if I want feedback I'm forced to spam all kind of groups with my images which is not the intention. If I ignore groups I have to live with less attention.

What are your experiences with groups?

Cheers
Christian

"pLeAzZZzE take a look on my pictures!!!"

Hi,

there is one thing I noticed the last months, sometimes on DeviantART, most times on 500px.com. People who write useless comments like "Nice", "Nice shot", "Great shot", "Wow", etc. are not new, but there is an increasing number of comments which say "Please take a look on my pictures!" and so on.

If you feel you're personally concerned then please stop the usage of this senseless sentence. If I (or any other person) is interested in your works, then I/we will take a look. On 500px.com I only read comments via email and there I can see the last five images of the person who commented. Almost everytime when somebody begs for views I really don't like their photos. If I'm attracted by a thumbnail I surely will visit the website.

Cheers
Christian
