What an incredibly complex picture! First off, the orangey-red is very striking compared to the rest of the station as you mentioned in your description. But you look closer and there's the reflections of the escalators and the stairs either side of them which makes you realise the almost complete symmetry of the photo. Then you think wow, how many lines are there Actually in this photograph?! The linear qualities are immense; there are so many horizontal, vertical and then converging ones up the side, it's an absolute feast. I am surprised, I wasn't expecting quite such an absorbing image when I clicked on the thumbnail.
I had forgotten this piece...and when
at first glance in the thumbnail today...
I saw this and thought it is the inside of the KEWLEST dish washing machine that THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN!!...
then I saw the people..
and I thought..THIS IS THE SMALLEST AND CLEANEST RACE OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!..
I think it is a great contrast of cold and warm colors. I think the best is the reflections on both sides...the reflections are numerous and add alot of depth and structure.
