It's like an anemone with electricity. The shot seems to gain a lot from the fact that the lights are on randomly. The shadows on the ceiling are likely to make it really look like a flower with a wider cropping and and adjustment in contrast. But I'm not sure I'd like it better. That would seem cliche, while this is more along the lines of seeing everyday things in extraordinary ways, which I prefer.

When I first saw this piece
I thought it was a shower head
just as the waters about to come out
none the less its a very catchy piece!
and you caught the lighting on this perfectly
